Ah Cynth, those look refreshing! As warm as it is today, here in Capitola, they would go down easy. Confused

Of all the things I've lost in my life, I miss my mind the most!

Hey Barn, I'm sad that you don't have Pig there toooo...

And I think I meant MLB, not NBL. Anyway one guy made a FABULOUS catch & blammed up against the back wall !!!!!!!

Plus, another guy almost got his hand CRACKED IN TWO !!!!!!!!!!!

It's prettty exciting. I hope the red guys win 2nite just so there'll be another game 2morrow. But I want the black guys (no I think I mean the midnite blue guys) to win the entire thing. Cuz their big fat pitcher is from Vallejo, ha !!!!!!!! Smile

go to User CP (in the blue bar just under the Squeals logo), and under User Options, check your time zone setting.

it -should- be GMT-8, Autodetect DST, for PST. For other time zones, adjust to suit.

RE: Fresh Squeals!
Hi Kim Smile Yeah, we're all gonna miss Norton...a LOT. Taken from us too early, but it was his time to go.

My trip to CA was successful, although not without a couple of glitches. I spent two weeks shuttling on local buses from a Motel 6 to my storage unit, where I spent 6 or 7 hours every day sorting through my 50-odd boxes. It was exhausting every day, physically and emotionally, trying to decide what I would save and discard from the past 40 years of my life. But I finally narrowed it down to 5 boxes of my stuff I really wanted to save, and then closed my storage unit for good. Caught a taxi to the post office. Learned there that the p.o. had discontinued 'slow boat' shipping two years ago, and the cheapest they could send my boxes to Bangkok would be around $1000. Went back to the motel room and called FedEx and UPS, and they were the same price or higher. Dishearted that I wouldn't be able to go to LA to see my sister as I would have to spend that time figuring out how I was going to get my things to Thailand, I opened the Yellow Pages. I called a shipper listed there, and he promised to get my stuff to Bangkok on consolidation for around $200. The next day, he picked me and my boxes up at the motel and drove me to a bus stop so I could get back to the Bay Area. I had already missed my flight to LA the previous day, so I headed to Oakland, where I stayed with an old friend. The next day, I caught BART to SFO and flew back to Bangkok. I've been in touch with the shipper, Jeff, by email and he informed me that my boxes will arrive in Bangkok at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec. Jeff really saved me, and he's such a nice guy, too. He shared with me in his truck that he has terminal cancer, and he told me that it gave him a private joy to help a teacher in Thailand. I'm putting in a request that he be given special consideration at the Pearly Gates. On second thought, maybe he was sent here from there for a reason, and now it's just his time to return.

hehe...I actually woke up at my normal time today, Jay. A very obnoxious 5:45 am. But that probably sounds to Ralphie like I'm a lazy good-for-nuthin'. Big Grin Soundin' good in Bangkok, Ralphie.

Yep, I'll be more than ready for the boys at the Sax on Friday. Wink
