Cinnamon Walnut Bread
I adapted this recipe from one I found on a cooking blog called

I made mini loaves to give out as Christmas presents this year.
Very tasty, very easy, very good. I believe a new tradition has begun! Smile

Cinnamon Walnut Bread

makes one full-sized loaf, they say - both times I made it, I doubled it, and made 5 mini-loaves per batch

2 cups white whole wheat flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup milk

1/3 cup demerara sugar (may sub turbinado if demerara ca't be found)

1/2 cup walnuts

1 beaten egg

1/2 tsp salt

In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
Add the beaten egg and milk and stir.
Fold in the walnuts.
Pour into greased loaf pan and sprinkle the top with just a tiny bit of the sugar.
Bake at 350 for about forty minutes, until golden (use the toothpick test to be sure it's cooked in the middle)
