Here is another hugely talented (not to mention beautiful Big Grin) singer-songwriter that apparently the PIG doesn't play -- at least I've never heard her there. That's too bad. I mean, how could anyone argue with songs like "It Takes Balls to be a Woman" or "Yes to Booty"? Cool

Elizabeth is also a regular DJ on Sirius Satellite Radio Outlaw Country, Channel 60. She's on daily from 7 to 11 AM, Pacific time. On-air, she comes across as super-nice, smart, funny, and sassy. IOW, she's my kind of woman . . . Heart Shy

They do play her. She was at the station 5/26/11.

Look at the pig player

Good. Thanks for that info.

I don't live in the Santa Cruz area any more, <sigh> so these days I only get to listen to the PIG when I am in front of my computer, or on the relatively infrequent occasions when I get back down to the Monterey Bay area. So I don't keep up with what they are playing as well as I'd like to.

Whatever, Elizabeth rocks! Beer

Another tasty tune by the lovely Ms. Cook. Cool video, too.

If Elizabeth were chasing me down a mountain and up a creek, I guarantee I wouldn't be trying very hard to get away. I wouldn't bother to ask her for her sign, either. Heart Big Grin

she's a little too nashville mainstream country-western for my tastes, I dunno.

Hmmmm . . . IMHO, if Nashville would show more respect toward artists like Elizabeth and not be so fixated on thinly disguised pop artists like Taylor Swift, they, and lovers of real country music, would be a lot better off.

Although she has her own unique sound, Elizabeth's music is squarely in the tradition of immortal icons like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. That's way more than OK by me. Smile

I just listened to Elizabeth's latest CD, "Welder", for the first time today, and . . . wow. Just wow. I have to give this one a rave review. Every song is simply stunning! Smile And Elizabeth is as sassy as ever. Big Grin

This one is a keeper, folks. If you like outstanding country music, -- heck, if you just like outstanding music, period -- do yourself a favor. Buy it. Enjoy it.

An especially stunning punch-you-in-the-gut song from "Welder". This one literally moves me to tears every time I hear it.
