Cynth, you found my avatar (jumbo size). This is a great alarm clock. Wakes you up to the sound of a snorting hog.

Richard, you do seem to have popular avatars. Kevin was using the bird you had before he dropped off the earth. Of course, maybe he's just in the back sty.

Richard, I just re-read this--is this an actual alarm clock? That makes pig noise?

Could be. I'll wait patiently to see if he returns. I did like the emu. I was just too early signing in to the new posting. He returned later.

Yes it does wake you to the sound of the pig. There are several Barn animals in this series.

Lots of dogs in the Village today. Girls Scouts and SPCA having a fund raiser on the Esplanade. They did a Live Hog Call yesterday on Ralphie's show.

Yes, I have to order the PETITE size. Their omelets are huge! And once Carol gets to know you, she never forgets. Always a "Hi Richard! how are the kids?" and proceeds to ask about each one by name. Incredible. It is the locals favorite.

good to know ... I haven't spent much time in Capitola, but it sounds like a gem of a local place, and that's a real treasure, they can be hard to come by!!
So, what did ya have - "the usual"? [Image: smiliewink.jpg]
I just grabbed a quick bowl of generic cheerios before hustling in here, myself ... [Image: icon_rolleyes.gif]

RE: Fresh Sqeals...
so where's this Cook House ? been awhile since we've had a favorite breakfast place. I remember years and years ago that place out on 17 Mile Dr in Pagroovia, what was that, the Fat Cat? and somewhat more recently, was a place in Aptos, The Farm or something? for quite a while we were fans of the Red Apple Cafe in Aptos.

omg, Fat Cat indeed, found this via google Smile http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewShor...5&id=29481

The Cook House is on Capitola Ave 2 driveways up from Gayles at the corner of Capitola and Bay Aves. Small place, so early morning is best. Sundays, expect to wait outside for a while.
